The symposium brought together more than 300 educators, researchers, academic leaders and industry professionals from around the world to discuss one of the most important questions shaping higher education today: the future of universities in the age of Artificial Intelligence.

Throughout the event, participants explored topics that are transforming education globally, including the role of AI in education, preparing scholars for the AI era, curriculum transformation, effective communication, future-ready skills, and the development of graduates who can remain relevant in rapidly changing industries. The discussions emphasized the need for higher education institutions to continuously adapt in order to prepare learners not only for today’s challenges, but also for future developments that cannot yet be fully predicted.

One of the highlights of the symposium was the panel discussion titled “Future Ready Skills in the AI Era: Rethinking Education for a Changing World,” moderated by Dr. Rabindra Dev Prasad. The panel featured valuable insights from Edward Chryslo Abraham of Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur, Bernie Yong of Averis Sdn. Bhd., Anthony So of AIInterviewCoach.io, and Ir. Prof. Dr. Leong Wai Yie of INTI International University.

The discussion brought together perspectives from both academia and industry, highlighting the importance of collaboration in shaping future-ready graduates. Special attention was given to the need for critical thinking, adaptability, creativity, ethical leadership and lifelong learning, alongside the responsible use of technological innovation.

Assist. Prof. Mulahmetović’s participation provided an opportunity to exchange ideas with international colleagues, learn from distinguished experts and contribute to meaningful conversations about the future of education.
