Dear students,
As the coordinator of the Visual Arts and Visual Communications Design study program, I want to extend a warm welcome to all of you. I am excited to have the opportunity to work with each and every one of you as we embark on our joint journey of creativity and exploration.
Our program is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in the world of visual arts and visual communications design. Throughout your time here, you will have the chance to work with talented faculty members and experienced professionals in the field, as well as engage with fellow students who share your passion for art and design.

IUS Art Gallery
IUS Art Gallery is a modern campus art space which provides students and staff with high quality exhibitions and events in order to broaden their educational experience and knowledge. The aim of the gallery is to offer an ambitious program of monthly exhibitions and to provide a varied and challenging set of displays.
The Gallery program runs from September through June. The Gallery features exhibition openings, artists’ talks, and artists’ workshops.

The Bachelor of Arts in MAC at IUS is a four-year, eight-semester program of 240 European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), broken down into about 30 ECTS per semester.

Master Studies in VACD
Achieving a Bachelor’s degree is a great success. After graduating from a university, you can take your education to the next level by enrolling into a master’s degree program. It will help you become a more skilled professional in your field.
The 2nd cycle of study leads to the academic title of Master of Arts (MA) or equivalent, it runs for one year (60 ECTS credits), so that combined with the 1st cycle study carries the total of 300 ECTS credits.

Overview of the PhD Program
The 3rd cycle of study leads to the scientific title of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or equivalent; it lasts for three years and is worth 180 ECTS credits. Read more
PhD Studies in VACD
A PhD is a doctoral research degree and the highest level of academic qualification you can achieve. The degree normally takes between three and four years of full-time work towards a thesis offering an original contribution to your subject of interest.
The 3rd cycle of study is organized and run as a three-year study program and it corresponds to 180 ECTS credits, where candidates acquire ECTS credits by passing exams in courses specified by the curriculum, conducting research in the specific area of the doctoral dissertation, and completing and successfully defending a doctoral dissertation.
Work Placement/Internship
Practical training/internship period is defined as a student’s work-based learning created by an employer, which provides mentoring and training in line with the individual student-intern’s study program and career goals. It can be performed in companies, non-government organizations, government offices, institutes, medical facilities, or any other institutions that can provide the student with the experience and potential to achieve the learning outcomes set in the syllabus for that practical training/internship course.
The duration of practical training/internship is a minimum of 25 working days. The internship file should consist of:
- Employer/Supervisor Internship Evaluation Form
- Student Evaluation of Internship Experience
- Five-page (5) summary report
Scholarship Opportunities
Scholarships awarded for undergraduate degrees are assured for a period of five (5) years, regardless of students’ academic success. The exception from this rule are students on 100% scholarship, who must maintain minimum level of CGPA at 3.00.
